This 'You are My Sunshine' baby quilt was custom designed to show a geometric sun and its rays on a pink gradient background. The lyrics ' You are my sunshine, my only sunshine; you make me happy, when skies are gray' are hand painted on in a dark gray color on the sun's rays. The yellow quilting accents the geometric lines and the feeling of sun rays.
The quilt measures approximately 31" x 36", and is the perfect size for playing with your little one on the floor or for a crib or toddler bed. The front of the quilt was hand cut from Kona cotton and Cotton + Steel print. The back is a triangle gray fabric. The quilt was machine pieced, quilted, and bound. The 80% cotton, 20% polyester batting was specifically chosen because it allows the quilt to keep its original modern look without the pucker associated with 100% cotton batting. Machine wash on gentle cold; because of the lettering, it is best if the quilt is line/air dried. It will get softer and softer with each wash. Your quilt will arrive pre-washed with Dreft.
